NKPR’s Guide to TIFF 2017

It’s the best (and busiest) time of the year as we prepare for IT House x Producers Ball week. The #NKPRIT17 week is on, and we’re preparing for a busy few days ahead kicking off with the Red Carpet at our IT House x Producers Ball at Peter and Richmond Streets in Toronto, followed by the Producers Ball hosted by the Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott, and the impressive and important APJ Gala on Sunday, September.10th.

#NKPRIT17 and the opening of the IT House x Producers Ball celebrates the best of the film industry, the IT House x Producers Ball in collaboration with the Scott Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott. Inside, the IT House will include salon-style industry panels, a gallery exhibition and this year we have not one, but TWO celebrity portrait studios with @nylonmagazine shot by photographer extraordinaire @sophieelgort, and the @coveteur portrait studio shot by creative director and founder @jakerosenberg.

To make sure you get the most out of the Toronto International Film Festival, we’ve compiled a list of places to be at when TIFF officially rolls out the red carpet on Thursday, Sept. 6.

The Thompson Hotel

The Thompson rooftop bar is the place to share a cocktail (or two) while rubbing elbows with a noted celebrity. Nightlife, fashion and food fuse together in the heart of downtown Toronto at the Thompson. For late night food, the Thompson Diner is a delicious end of night treat!

The Spoke Club

The All white Villa Azzure opening party at The Spoke Club on King Street is the place to be! Four days of fashionable, lively partying to celebrate Film Festival. The transformed fourth floor and rooftop patio, The Spoke Club offers brunches, champagne, and DJs with a fashionable crowd.

Corbo

Tucked away in a corner of Bloor Yorkville is luxury boutique, Corbo. A family run shop, Corbo’s offers well-curated collections with elegance and glam. The staff always know exactly what you need! It’s a favourite for the #NKAllBlackEverything collection!

Summer’s Ice Cream

A neighbourhood staple in the heart of Bloor-Yorkville, Summer’s is a charming and favourite stop for ice cream! Take a stroll down the revived #BloorYorkville area where you’re likely to spot a celebrity or two.

JoSo’s

A favourite for dinner, JoSo’s is sparkly on the outside, but quaint and beautiful inside. Serving upscale seafood, the unique, colourful interior delights as much as the food. It’s ideal for a quiet date night away from the flashes 😉
