Peter Tunney art reception at the NKPR IT House x Producers Ball in support of Artists for Peace and Justice
On September 12th, a group of art lovers gathered at the NKPR IT House x Producers Ball to celebrate artist, philanthropist and entrepreneur Peter Tunney and his first ever exhibit in Canada in support of Artist for Peace and Justice (APJ), It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Peter’s art decorated the walls of the IT House for a good cause with 50% of the sales going directly to APJ, a non-profit organization that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty in Haiti and around the world.
Adding to the excitement and energy of the city during the film festival, Tunney set up an outdoor studio on Peter and Richmond Street, creating vibrant and spontaneous silk screens of silver screen stars Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren and Easy Rider’s Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper.
Partway through the evening, performers ArumRae and Paul Beaubrun serenaded guests with an acoustic Reggae-inspired set. Guests sipped on FLOW water, Steam Whistle Brewing Co. and Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc and Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva from Corby. Page Activations set up a gif photo booth with Tunney’s work as a backdrop.
